Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual through August 2009, Edward Jones
Summary of Assets, and a list of checks written in August were distributed
for review. Discussion was held,
copies attached in file.
chair received a spread work sheet with history of the past five years for
each committee’s expenses. A
budget is to be proposed and given to Jim before the next Board meeting.
- A copy
of a letter sent to Preview Properties, Inc. concerning Lot 73 was
distributed for review, copy in file.
to work on setting up the checking and savings accounts with First Savings
Bank Northwest in Renton. The
paper work will soon be completed.

mowing, pruning and clean-up continues.
gate sprinkler system complete and checked out: 4 zones, 2 feed
lines with 33 heads each. Battery
operated controller, turns on at 5 am each day for 10 minutes.

8/12 – A large party at Lot 350. Kent police called.
8/13 – Non-resident female walker notified the
guardhouse that she tripped over yard debris in street. She refused to give name or contact
8/18 – Incident involving Lot 211.
9/3 – Kent teachers picketed the main gate.
9/6 – Kent Police chased a suspect into MVCC – Security
guard making rounds aided in the search.
A K-9 unit and 5 patrol cars apprehended the person at 3:39 am.
9/7 – Security received a report that Lot 171 had a
broken rear window. The premises were
checked and secured.
FACILITIES: Bill McLaughlin
- 8/19 –
Received an e-mail from Lot 2010 concerning a sinkhole in street at catch
basin #228. It appears that the
drain from Lot 2008 is causing erosion at the catch basin. Western States Environmental will
repair as part of their contract.
- 8/24 –
A letter was mailed to the owners of lots #258, 259, 260, 261, 262, and
263 notifying them of upcoming repairs to the fence behind their homes the
first week of September. The MVMA
will pay part of the costs.
- 8/25 –
Received a call from the owner of Lot 61 stating the manhole in his
driveway is settling. Photos of
the driveway were distributed. The
owner will be contacted – the MVMA will take no action concerning the
cracks – the owner could possibly notify the Sewer District.
- 8/26 –
Received a call from the owner of Lot 1038 concerning water shooting about
10 – 12 feet in the air in the back of the condos – 9th fairway
near the cart path around the 200-yard mark. Craig Benson investigated and found the water was coming
from a broken sprinkler head that belongs to the Condos. The Condo Association was notified.

to be sure it is being done.
McLaughlin will be gone for the October and November meetings.

approval letters for improvements were sent in August. No attention letters needed.
