MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Dean Saggau, our Financial Advisor from Edward Jones, was a
guest of this meeting to explain our investment positions of the long range plan
funds. He explained how Edward
Jones operates and then distributed a portfolio analysis, American Funds
American Funds American Balanced sheets, and an article from American Funds
titled “The Long View”. Copies
are attached in file. The total
portfolio is down by 23.29% He
was questioned on our portfolio being balanced as he was directed by our
Financial Policy. The purchasing of
bonds was not done on a timely basis. After
Mr. Saggau left, it was decided that Jim Schack and Peg Steiner would meet to
determine a re-allocation. It was
suggested possibly buying Certificates of Deposits outside of Edward Jones.

Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual through March 2009 and Balance sheets were
distributed for review. Discussion

lot owners have not paid the 2009 dues.
A lien has been placed on one last year and is now in the stages of
foreclosure, we are hoping the property is soon sold. The other lot had a lien placed on the property this year.

of residents on e-mail distribution list remains fairly constant at about
240. The resident e-mail
distribution list was broken down into 5 sublists of about 50 residents per
subdivision. This was necessary
because an e-mail sent to more than 60 or so residents was flagged and not
from homeowner concerning water draining from his lot onto the street.
Water is green with algae. He requested that the Association install
catch basin in street. I looked at the situation and told him the best
alternative was to take his drain and tight line under his driveway to his
other drain. The cost to install new catch basin in street would be
thousands of dollars.
#297 phone box knocked over. Quest sent repairman to fix.
All complete within three days.

Some complaints about crew working until 11:30 – they were no
longer complaining when they found out it was a gas leak.

States Environmental, our street sweeper, is getting a new truck equipped
with a snowplow blade and a sanding unit.
They will contact us this summer about rates.
This will give the MVMA an alternative in the event of a lot of snow

request for new home on Lot #307 was conceptually approved provided builder
JB McHugh provide set of final plans documenting location of the home and
rotation of the home which will reduce blockage of territorial view of
uphill neighbor. The AC met on
March 3, 2009 at Lot #306 with the owner’s of Lot #306, Lot #307, and the
builder and reached an agreement that satisfies all parties.
#148 residence provided a revised request moving the lap pool from
underneath the covered patio to in front of the living room.
The long edge of the pool is now within six feet of the property line
that adjoins the golf course. It
was decided to hold a separate meeting regarding this request.
Architectural Committee meeting was held on April 8, 2009 to perform final
review and disposition of the both the above mentioned lots revised plans.
#71 - construction will not start for another year, thus the AC Chair will
send out a letter informing them of the need to resubmit new plans.
