MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 13, 2008
CALLED TO ORDER BY
VICE PRESIDENT Jack Ottini at 6:58 p.m.

Jan Lewis, Bob Steiner, Kent Fire Chief James Schneider, Captain Larry Rabel,
Lieutenant Greg Markel, and Inspector Pat Pawlak
Jack Ottini welcomed the guests.
Chief Schneider and Captain Rabel presented an overview of Fire District
37 and the future plans for the district. Questions
and answers followed the presentation with participation by all during the hour
they met with the Board. Information
was distributed to the Board for review – copies in file.

REPORT: Mike McCarty
Profit and Loss Budget vs. Actual and Balance sheet YTD were distributed for
review. (Copy attached in
Edward Jones investment statement for January 2008 was distributed.

Ryan Thrower – absent
- As per the board recommendation, most of the documents on the
MVMA website have been made public. The only documents still in the
private section are the minutes. The Board should decide if it wants
these to be public also.

The MVCC maintenance crew sanded the roads during the snowstorm.
The missing reflectors will be replaced as soon as possible.

The transition is not going as fast as it should.
The target date for the switch over is now the first week of March. Some of the items required were not made until the
middle of January. Ron and I
held a special meeting with Pacific Fire & Security; we feel everything
is now on track. Nick worked
six straight days installing equipment.
He will work next Friday, Monday, and Tuesday when installation of
equipment should be completed. Jim
Marter made an extra shelf and drilled holes for extra wiring in the
Guardhouse. He is also making
brackets to hold the click to enter system on the poles that hold the
resident letter was sent on Wednesday, February 13th.
They are asked to fill out two forms and bring them to us when they
pick-up their remotes. Two days
are scheduled to do this – Thursday, February 21st and
Saturday, February 23rd in the lower level conference room of the

posted on the MVMA Website. Demolition
Policy has also been implemented and posted on the MVMA Website.

to be screened and that we will be watching for it on our monthly inspection
report and following up with letters where needed.
